CAKES are being baked and coffee brewed in readiness for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The Vale Royal fundraising group for Macmillan Cancer Support is holding its event from 10am to noon on Saturday, September 20.
The coffee morning and bazaar takes place at the Clubhouse at Delamere Park.
Brenda Mendham, from the group, said: "This is a very significant year for Macmillan Cancer Support because it's going through what everyone else is going through with the economy and it's getting tighter and tighter.
"We need all the funds we can get to fight this horrible disease.
"We've been incredibly successful with this coffee morning in the past and it's the local community we have to thank."
This year Barclays has agreed to provide pound for pound match funding up to £1,000.
Admission to Saturday's event is £2.50, which includes coffee and cake.
