MID Cheshire College has welcomed almost 30 delegates from VUC Storstrøm in Denmark as part of a conference organised to discuss the challenges and solutions for the education system in the region.

VUC Storstrøm is an independent education centre which aims to ensure young and mature students have access to education, from basic to high school level.

The visit was arranged with the Cheshire Training Development Trust and other colleges in the area such as Sir John Deane’s, offering VUC Storstrøm the opportunity to see how things are run in the UK and more specifically, Cheshire.

During their trip the delegates stayed at Nunsmere Hall and had presentations from Mid Cheshire College, Sir John Deane’s and Cheshire Training Development Trust.

Mid Cheshire College principal Richard Hollywood said: “We are extremely proud of the broad-ranging education and experience we offer our students, and are more than happy to share our knowledge with like-minded organisations.

“Equally, it was fascinating to have an introduction to the approach to education from a country such as Denmark, which is famed for its education system and work/ life balance.”
