AN ENVIRONMENTAL firm has given £2,000 to a children's cancer charity in Northwich.

Keppel Seghers has given the cash boost to The Joshua Tree, which will help the charity run its support services to families of children with cancer in Cheshire.

Lynda Hill, chief executive of The Joshua Tree, said: “We were thrilled to receive £2,000 as part of the company’s scheme to donate to different charities each month and want to thank all the employees who nominated us.

"This really will make a difference to the families we support and our goals of building The Joshua Tree Holiday House.”

The charity's long term goal is to build a holiday home and support centre in Sandiway where children suffering life threatening illnesses can have a free short break with their families.

It has already started its support work at its headquarters in Venables Road, in Northwich.

Chris Allott, fromKeppel Seghers, said: “We want to wish everyone involved with The Joshua Tree lots of luck and good fortune.

"We know that the charity will succeed in bringing into fruition its vision of the holiday house and support centre, and without a doubt, much, much more than originally planned.”
