KNITTED sheep will soon appear in shop windows around Northwich to coincide with the switch on of the town’s Christmas lights.
A group of women from St Helens Church, in Witton, have been busy making the sheep as part of a fun community project and each one will have a name chosen by children from the Sunday Club.
The sheep will be on display by Saturday, November 29, and children are invited to collect Great Northwich Sheep Round Up leaflet which will contain a list of all the sheep.
They will be able to track down where they are now living and keep a record that they can hand into the Northwich Town Council stall at the December artisan market.
Any children with a complete list will get a prize.
The leaflets can be found in independent shops, in the library and the information centre.
