AN AUTHOR sold out of books when he held an event in a village shop.
David Yearsley has self published his memories of growing up in Moulton in the 1960s and promoted his work at the Co-op, in Whitlow Lane.
David, who has published 'Winding the Clock Back' under the pen name Dave Kenneth, also ran a raffle for St Luke's Hospice and raised around £60.
He said: "I felt rather privileged to be given a little space in in the Co-op on a Saturday morning.
"It was all about the village and for a very worthy charity.
"The staff were brilliant as well, very pleasant and cheerful.
"It couldn't have gone any better, it was a dream morning.
"I met people I've not seen for yonks, as well as new people, and ran out of copies of the book, so there you go."
