Up to seven vehicles were involved in the collision
MOTORISTS travelling between Knutsford and Northwich faced major hold-ups this afternoon following a multiple-vehicle road collision.
Police said up to seven vehicles were involved in the collision near to the BP petrol station on the A556 between the Mere crossroads and the M6 roundabout.
The collision happened at 12.37pm, and police said there are not believed to be any serious injuries.
A spokesman said no roads had been closed as a result of the collision, and vehicles involved in the collision had been removed from the scene.
