WEAVER Vale Parliamentary candidate Julia Tickridge boxed clever on Friday night when she was the guest of honour at an awards presentation.
Julia is the Labour candidate for the constituency at next month’s General Election, and presented the prizes at an evening of amateur boxing.
The event was organised by the Northwich-based boxing club Boxing Fit Academy, was held at Lostock Social Club and attracted competitors and supporters from across the north west.
Julia said: “I was delighted to be invited to present the prizes to all the fantastic competitors.
Martin Dunwoody of Boxing Fit Academy said: “Boxing Fit Academy are proud that Julia took time out of her General Election campaign to present the prizes to our boxers at our amateur boxing night.
“We would like to say a big personal thank you to her for her ongoing support.”
