RESIDENTS have been nominated to serve on Barnton, Lostock Gralam, Rudheath and Wincham Parish Councils from next month.

In Barnton there are seven nominations for 10 seats on the council, and three nominations for the 10 seats on Lostock Gralam Parish Council.

There are 10 nominations for the 11 seats up for grabs on Wincham Parish Council, and in Rudheath eight people have been nominated for the 15 seats on the parish council.

The nominations for Barnton Parish Council are Sheena Beech, Rachel Collier, Rosy Hewitt, Dilys Hooper, Judith Hughes, Judy Phoenix and Keith Reading.

The three people nominated for Lostock Gralam Parish Council are Lynda and Peter Kelly and Mark Litton.

The nominations for Wincham Parish Council are as follows – Kenton Barker, Ros Casson, Brian and Dee Cooke, Sarah Henshall, Annie Makepeace, Ian Parr, David Pugh, Frank Smith and Dominic Turner.

In Rudheath the people who have been nominated to serve on the parish council are Michael Alcock, Margaret Ashbrook, Alison Gerrard, Andrew Hancock, Joyce and Tony Lawrenson, Nigel Wilder and Amos Wright.

The people nominated for Barnton Parish Council are described as ‘independent,’ and the list of those nominated for the parish councils, along with the names of those who proposed and seconded them, is on the Cheshire West and Chester Council website.

If there are the same number or fewer candidates than places on the councils there is no election, and those people who are nominated are returned as councillors.
