BARNTON residents are being asked not to give money to a man who is calling at local homes.
The plea comes from Northwich Police, which has been receiving an increasing number of reports of the man calling at houses in the village.
“Cheshire Police is receiving increasing reports of a man attending residential areas of Barnton, knocking on doors at all hours of the day, asking people to give him money to pay for a taxi,” said a police spokesman.
“Police are advising residents not to provide any money to this male and to call Cheshire Police on 101.”
