SAXOPHONE player Dave Hiett and his fellow musicians are to perform at a charity barn dance in Wincham on Friday, May 15.

Dave, from Great Budworth, is a member of SteamHead, which is to play at the fundraiser being organised by Northwich and District Rotary Club.

Wincham Community Centre is playing host to the barn dance, which is raising money for defibrillators for Northwich primary schools and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Dave’s fellow band members are Alan Sim on the clarinet, Malcolm Webster on the banjo, Pam Barfield on percussion and vocals, and Janet Hiett on the tuba.

SteamHead perform a fusion of jazz, Latin, folk, Calypso and more, interpreted in their own original style, and love to play, entertain and interact with their audience.

Tickets for the dance are £15, which includes a fish and chip supper, and there will be a raffle on the evening to boost the fundraising total.

There will also be a licensed bar, and the dance will run from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.

The community centre is in Church Street, Wincham, and for tickets ring Elizabeth on 01606 78456 or Malcolm on 01606 892295.
