A WEAVERHAM woman is inviting mid Cheshire people to enjoy an evening of glitz and glamour to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.

Claudia Dickens, a former PA within the NHS, is organising a charity night at Cranage Hall Hotel, near Holmes Chapel, on May 23.

The evening includes a welcome drink, three-course dinner and programme of top class entertainment including a DJ and disco, singer, casino table, raffle and auction.

There will also be an official photographer on hand.

Claudia, who now runs KeeDays event management company, said: “St Luke’s Hospice holds a very special place in my heart.

“A few years ago my step father sadly passed away at the hospice.

"He was given such dedicated care by staff.

"Organising the evening is my way of giving back to this wonderful local facility.”

Raffle prizes include a holiday worth more than £1,000, signed footballs, signed shirt, vouchers and more.

Claudia said: “During my former career working for the NHS, I gained an insight into the pressures of staff and others in caring professions encounter daily as they care for others less fortunate.

“St Luke's Cheshire Hospice is a place not only for poorly patients but for those needing care and for families caring for loved ones.

“When my step-father was poorly the staff were so helpful and caring.

"Nothing was too much trouble and their compassion meant everything.

"We knew he was in the right place in his late stages of cancer.

"The staff deserve a medal.”

The evening is also supported by Cranage Hall Hotel, Vitaliano’s Ice Cream and Martin Pawlett Photography.
