ROSEBANK School in Barnton has thanked Sainsbury’s supermarket in Northwich for its generous support.

Rosebank has been Sainsbury’s Northwich Charity Partner for the year, and this agreement is now drawing to a close.

The school benefited by having refurbishment work done on its school bungalow. Flooring was replaced to enable the largest room to be used as a meeting room and training room, and the kitchen area was refurbished to provide much-improved facilities.

Rosebank were also able to hold a bag packing day at the store during December last year, when school staff and parents packed customers’ bags and raised more than £700.

Throughout the year Sainsbury’s had collection buckets at various points throughout the store, and raised more than £900.

The school thanked the community for its generosity in supporting both the bag pack and the Sainsbury’s collection, which raised a total of £1,747.

Sainsbury’s staff came to the school to present a cheque for the total amount raised, which was received by co-opted Governor Dilys Hooper and some of the children.
