REAL ale enthusiasts are to indulge their passion in the surroundings of Northwich’s Memorial Court.

The landmark building is playing host to the 22nd Northwich Beer Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 18 and 19.

The festival is organised by The Rotary Club of Northwich and The Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal, and will feature real ales, real ciders and music.

The Friday evening session runs from 5pm to 11pm, and tickets cost £7.

The Saturday lunchtime session is from midday to 4pm and costs £3, and the evening session runs from 7pm to 11pm and costs £6.

The Bill Brooks Blues Band will be performing on the Friday night, followed by Traces of Nutz on the Saturday night.

Tickets are available from the Memorial Court, Northwich Tourist Information Office, Jack Gee Cycles, the town centre sales desk on September 4 and 11, and online via the event website – Northwichbeerfestival.co.uk.

Last year’s festival raised more than £8,000, which was distributed through the Rotary clubs to support Prostate Awareness, Tiny Steps, the Neuromuscular Centre, St John Ambulance and the RNLI.
