NOT many six-week-old kittens have their own Facebook page – but then Daisy is special.

And despite having big paw prints to fill the tiny bundle of black and white fur is certainly up to the job.

Nineteen-year-old Tasha Plumb had two young cats called Chester and Lilly.

They were brother and sister and they were inseparable.

Six weeks ago, at just 10-months old, Lilly was knocked over by a car outside her home on Fernlea Road in Marston and died.

Tasha and her family were devastated and Chester was lost without his sister but they never thought they’d get another pet so quickly.

Tasha, who is a student at Leeds Metropolitan University, said: “Losing Lilly was so sad as she was such a friendly and loving cat.

“We missed her but Chester needed someone to play with.

“I read online about a kitten being thrown out of a car window on a motorway and it shocked me.

“In one of the messages Andy Freaney, who worked in a shipyard in Birkenhead, posted about a kitten that needed rehoming because its mother and brother had been killed by a fox.”

The stray kitten was just five weeks old and was born around the same time that Lilly was killed.

She was black and white and had the same black markings on her chin that Lilly had.

Tasha said she knew straight away that she wanted to bring her home.

She added: “She’s only been with us a few days but she’s settled in perfectly.

“She has a broken leg but is still jumping around and very lively.

“She loves cuddles and spends a lot of her time sleeping as she’s still very weak from living in the wild at such a young age.

“It seemed like fate was trying to tell us something. Daisy must have been born at the same time we lost Lilly.

“We feel it was just meant to be and when you see photos of the two cats it’s almost impossible to tell them apart.

“We just couldn’t say no.”
