NORTHWICH Mayor councillor Andrew Stott joined retirees and their families at McCarthy and Stone’s development, Marbury Court, to mark the opening of its new roof terrace.

Cllr Stott cut a ribbon at the Cheshire Way development, where guests enjoyed strawberries and cream and Pimms while they enjoyed the views over Northwich marina.

Cllr Stott said: “It was a pleasure to mark the unveiling of the new roof terrace at Marbury Court.

“It’s a fantastic addition, and I can see homeowners making the most of this relaxing space, and especially the lovely views over Northwich town.

“It was great to see so many faces from the local community voicing their interest in the scheme.

“Living independently and securely is incredibly important at any age, and it’s wonderful to see developments like this one in Northwich providing local retirees with a multitude of options in which they can make the most of their retirement years.”

Fiona Brooks, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone, said: “Our special open evening was really popular and a great way to demonstrate what a happy and thriving community we have at Marbury Court.

“We’re very thankful to councillor Stott for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit our new development, and are honoured he was there to mark the unveiling of our new roof terrace that can be enjoyed by all homeowners.”

McCarthy and Stone’s Assisted Living developments aim to bridge the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care, and Marbury Court comprises 57 one and two-bedroom Assisted Living apartments.
