MURDER mystery fans are invited to become super sleuths at a charity evening at Vale Royal Abbey.

After Dark Murder Mystery Events is presenting Four Funeral and A Wedding at the venue in November in aid of the Mid and North Cheshire branch of the NSPCC.

The group presenting the evening are professional performers, and the murder mystery takes place from 7pm prompt on Friday, November 13.

On the evening a killer seems out to ruin the impending nuptials, and it’s up to the amateur sleuths to solve the crime so that the day is all about his and hers, rather than ‘his and hearse’.

The evening takes the form of a Criminal Cabaret presented over a three-course meal.

Scenes of evidence are presented between your courses, and the suspects mingle among you to be questioned while you eat as you try and discover which of these larger-than-life characters committed the deadly deed.

You are guided along on your investigation by the all-seeing, all-knowing Inspectre, who hosts the night, hands out handy hints and eventually reveals the solution to the mystery and rewards the top sleuths.

Morecambe-based After Dark is run by the award-winning Little Gargoyle Ltd, which was a finalist in the Best Leisure and Tourism Business category of the 2015 Red Rose Awards.

Tickets are £35 per person, which includes a three-course dinner, and for tickets contact Ian Halliwell on 01606 889800 or email ian.halliwell@uwclub.net.
