YODA rubbed shoulders with Tinky Winky and Indiana Jones at a charity day at St Nicholas High School.

The characters were just some of the scores of film and TV icons sixth formers dressed up as for the day.

Friday’s fundraiser was staged for raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening conditions, and raised more than £500.

Staff also entered into the spirit by dressing up, with Tom Bradley as Yoda, Emma Riding as Little Red Riding Hood, Andrew Oldham as Where’s Wally and Tim Brown as Captain Jack Sparrow.

The sixth formers made a minimum donation of £2 each to the foundation to dress up for the day, and took part in a Disney-themed quiz to raise awareness of the charity and to raise more money.
