TWO photographs have come to light showing sporty residents of mid Cheshire in the 1950s.

Winsford woman Dorothy Wilson contacted the Guardian about her photographs, which she hoped would be of interest to Remember When readers.

One shows Middlewich Football Team in either 1955 or 1956.

Names that Dorothy remembers on the back row are Reg Noden, Mr Boyle, Allan Buckley, Keith Burrows, Dennis Parry, Mr Price and Tom Wilson.

On the front row are Mr Dale, Mr Sumner, Henry Fox, Don Booth, mascot David Wilson, Dorothy's son, Gerald Duffy, Jackie Hunt and Brian Hamlett.

The second photograph shows children enjoying a sunny day at Winsford open air baths, in Rilshaw Lane, in around 1958.

Pictured on this photo are David Wilson, David Hunt, Bernard Swift, Michael Bell, Tommy Clarke, Roy Hildich, Peter Such, Roger Atherton, James McCheagie and Christine Ikins.

Are you on one of the photographs or do you recognise more of the faces?
