NORTHWICH Business Improvement District (BID) and Northwich Town Council are busy planning the 2016 Summer Extravaganza.

Building on the formats of previous events, the plan is to introduce a music festival to proceedings, with a professional staged area already having been commissioned.

The Artisan Market will run on Witton/High Street, and there will be a host of street performances and entertainments throughout the town.

“It’s shaping up to be a great day, and the town will hopefully be packed with visitors and added footfall,” said a BID spokesman.

“It’s the perfect chance for the businesses of Northwich to get in touch with the BID if you have anything you’d like to shout about.

“Are there any special offers you’d like to promote? Are you planning on launching a product? Will you be hosting an event to tie in with the Extravaganza? Has your business got a special birthday coming up?

“If the answer to any of the above questions is yes the Northwich BID would love to hear from you.

“All you have to do is get in touch with Stephanie Leese at the BID on Stephanie.Leese@groundwork.org.uk and provide the details of your promotion to get the ball rolling.”

Northwich BID manager, Jane Hough said: “Plans are really taking shape now for the event on Saturday, June 11, and I’m really excited by the proposed line-up we’re pulling together; the new and improved event will hopefully get hundreds of extra visitors flocking into Northwich.

“Because of this, it provides the ideal opportunity for the businesses of the town to co-ordinate efforts and take advantage of the increased footfall by implementing initiatives and events – just get in touch with us and we’ll help you spread the message.”
