A MUSICIAN who makes his own guitars will perform for folk enthusiasts in Northwich this week.

On Friday, July 22, Northwich Folk Club at the Harlequin Theatre, Queen Street bids a welcome return to Ruth and Ken Powell.

They have been regular guests at the club and the audience can expect an eclectic mixture of folk and acoustic music, played by Ken on guitar and sung by Ruth's strong lead vocals.

They have a knack of providing a great combination of songs from the 1930's, to the traditional folk song and English/American contemporary music, giving concerts that will appeal to almost every audience.

Those that have seen Ruth and Ken before will tell you how obvious it is they enjoy performing together and have done so in different guises over the last 20 years. For more information visit ruthandkenpowell.co.uk.

The evening will be hosted by Pete Thompson and support will be by club stalwart, Roger Barnett.

Tickets which are priced at £7 or £6 for members are available from DAN danarts.co.uk, Northwich Art Shop, 111 Witton Street or on the door on the night.

Under 21s are half price.
