DONG Energy has hailed as a success its recruitment day at Hartford Hall on Tuesday.

The event was organised in relation to the company’s new plant, REnescience Northwich, which is being built at Lostock Gralam.

“The event was attended by more than 200 people, all keen to find out more about the job opportunities on offer at the site, which is currently under construction,” said a company spokesman.

Members of the public met with the project team and listened to a presentation about the recruitment process.

Colin Walker, plant manager at DONG Energy, said: “We were really pleased that so many people attended our recruitment event and we’d like to say thank you to everyone that came along.

“We’d like to remind people that the roles will all be advertised on our website over the next few weeks -www.dongenergy.co.uk/careers”.

The REnescience Plant Northwich is a new waste treatment facility, which will separate household waste from recyclable materials and generate energy at the same time.

The plant, which is being constructed by DONG Energy, be the first full-scale bio plant in the world capable of handling household waste through enzymes, mechanical sorting and anaerobic digestion.

Construction on the new bio resource facility began in April, and the site expects to be operational by April 2017.
