APPOINTED first team captain when he returned to Wincham Park to start a second spell this summer.

Originally signed for a four-figures fee from Radcliffe Borough in March 2007, he made 44 appearances – half of those as a substitute – under Jim Vince before moving to Ashton United in the summer of 2008.

Excelled at the Tameside club, where manager Danny Johnson made him skipper last term.

Began his non-league career at Clitheroe, who he left to join Boro in February 2006.
