OAKMERE’S relegation from the top flight was confirmed following a defeat against Mobberley, condemning them to Division Two for the first time in a decade.

The men from Overdale Lane, with a single win to their name this season, were skittled for 101 after Abdul Aqeel (6-32) ripped through their top order.

Craig Phelan (54) and tail-ender Mike Cushion (24) put on 57 runs for the eighth wicket after their side had slumped to 34-7.

A breakthrough by Matt Howard (3-29), along with a rain interruption, could not halt Mobberley’s march to victory as Will Berisford-Ince (49) saw them home.

Paul Coot’s brilliant century was a highlight of Barnton’s abandoned encounter with Division Two leaders Disley at Broomsedge.

He shared in partnerships worth 70 runs with Adam Garrod (23), for the second wicket, and 107 with Mike Cross (34) for the third in the hosts’ 216-4.

Coot contributed 142, taking his season tally to 986.

Neil Langham (2-21) took two of the wickets to fall in the visitors’ 44-3 before rain forced play to stop.

Kingsley lost a crunch clash at Langley by 39 runs, leaving them four points clear of the relegation zone with two matches left.

Travis Martin took 6-38 to help dismiss the hosts for 98, Adrian Burden taking the final two wickets in his one over.

Kingsley were flattened for 59, only three batsmen making it to double figures as Simon Patterson (5-40) and David Frame (4-19) combined to secure victory.

A third successive win, this time by 56 runs at home to Bunbury, has all but secured safety for Winnington Park.

Billy D’Arcy (53) and Greg McKeown (31) made the biggest individual contributions to the hosts’ 140 all out.

Bunbury were bowled out for 84, Alec Butcher’s fine catch dismissing danger man Nick Ball (44) while Tom Speak took 6-24.

Winsford lost by four wickets in Division Three at Stockport Trinity, where they were dismissed for 78.

Andy Cooper (32no) batted throughout, but the hosts were comfortable victors at 81-6.
