STUART Tulloch has been confirmed as part of Ian Street’s management team at 1874 Northwich.

The former Witton Albion forward arrives at Barton Stadium following short spells on the coaching staff at both Middlewich Town and Barnton earlier this season.

“I’m a Northwich lad, so have taken an interest in what has happened with 1874,” he said.

“Ian asked if I’d like to get involved a few weeks back; I was tempted, and watched them play at Crewe in the Cheshire FA Senior Cup.

“However at that time I had commitments in other areas I felt I needed to honour.

“Now my circumstances have changed, and I’m eager to get started and make a contribution.”

Tulloch joined Street and his assistant Paul Bowyer on the touchline for the first time in a 2-2 draw at AFC Liverpool last Wednesday.

He has registered as a player too.

Street said: “Stuart has great experience to offer, and still has a bit to offer on the field as well if we need him.

“He’s got contacts in the game, which we hope will come in handy.

“He’s here to share the load with Paul and Lee [Duckworth] as well as allowing us to be more specific with our coaching and clearer with what we ask of the players.”

1874 have signed attacker Andrew Whitney, a former teammate of Tulloch at Middlewich, on dual registration with neighbours Rudheath Social.

Ex-Winsford full back Elliot Ledwards and front man Max Pouncey have joined this week too.
