Match pointers
Witton Albion’s task is clear; avoid defeat at Stamford, and they will preserve their place in the Northern Premier League’s top flight for another season.
However losing has become a habit for Tony Sullivan’s men during April, with four defeats in five Premier Division matches.
They have only won twice away from home this term against teams in the table’s bottom half, but both of those have been in 2015.
Leading scorer Danny Andrews serves a suspension, while midfielder Tom Schofield (knee) is rated only 50/50 to make the team.
Front man Jamie Rainford, who has not featured since a 3-0 reverse at Nantwich on Easter Monday, is available again.
Albion will be hoping he finds the net, because they have yet to lose – in league or cup – when the 27-year-old has been on target.
Hosts Stamford have yet to win a league match at their new Zeeco Stadium home in 12 previous attempts. They have lost half of those.
The Daniels’ overall form is little better; only Stourbridge have collected fewer points in the past 10 Premier Division games.
They have won only one of the past 14 fixtures.
Striker Gregg Smith is banned, but Tom Batchelor has recovered from a head injury sustained during last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at FC United of Manchester.
