HARTFORD Tennis Club’s newest men’s team appear to be running away with Division Five of the South and Cheshire League.
They secured another 8-0 victory last week, against Nantwich D, when Nick Prior – a stalwart of previous years – stepping in for team regular Peter Rosa.
A tough away victory for the men’s A, at Nantwich Farmers, leaves them top of Division One.
In the ladies’ first division, Hartford A ran into the apparently-unbeatable Nantwich A and lost 7-1, but took heart from an improved performance on previous years.
Hartford B team whitewashed Audlem, while Hartford D dropped a single set in their victory against Holmes Chapel C in Division Three.
