WITTON Albion have borrowed teenage striker George Miller from Bury.

And the 18-year-old has made an instant impact, scoring on his debut during a 3-2 defeat at Carlton Town in the Northern Premier League’s Division One South on Saturday.

He will play for Carl Macauley’s side for an initial month.

Miller turned professional with the League One outfit towards the end of last season, making a first appearance as a second-half substitute in a defeat at Barnsley.

However his campaign was cut short by a knee injury that required surgery.

The young forward has enjoyed two encouraging campaigns in the youth team at Gigg Lane, reaching double figures last term.
