FOR one night only, Northwich Victoria will have a new home ground tonight as they attempt to clear their fixture backlog.

This evening, they will face Congleton Town in a Midlands Football League Premier Division match that was due to be played at Barton Stadium - the ground they share with tenants Winsford United - on Easter Monday but fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

However, both clubs have agreed to stage the match tonight and Nantwich Town FC have stepped in to play host at their Swansway Stadium home ground, which has an artificial playing surface.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm, with entry to the game costing £8 for adults and £5 for concessions

It is believed Witton Albion also offered the U Lock It Stadium, where Vics played home matches until earlier this season when their groundshare was brought to an early end by mutual agreement, as a host for tonight's game.

The weather prevented Vics from playing at all over Easter, with their scheduled home fixture against Highgate United on Saturday also falling victim to a waterlogged pitch.

Matt Barnes' men have a packed schedule to end the season as a result of a raft of postponed fixtures both home and away.

Their fixture list currently has them playing six matches over the next 13 days with three games - a home game against Shifnal Town and away games against Bewdley Town and Wolverhampton Casuals - still to rearrange.
